A great deal of gamblers have certain superstitions that they think gives them a better chance of winning while at the casino. These superstitions can be as simple as a player placing a stuffed animal on the table to a certain way to stand or sit in their chair. Most gamblers will tell you that whether they are winning or losing at that particular time, they do not like to be watched by strangers or friends. If a player is losing he/she will blame it on the person watching and if they are a friend probably ask them to leave. If the player is winning he/she will still most likely ask the observer to leave thinking that their presence will being bad luck.

This is quite true of slot players as well. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have been seated at a slot machine only to witness the same three people circling the set of machines I am seated at looking to take over my spot in case I get up and move to a different part of the casino. It is not that people like myself do not like to be watched while gambling. It is that most gamblers especially slot players do not like to feel pressured to get up from their machine while they are playing. Anyone who has been in a casino knows that there are plenty of slot machines to go around. In fact, there are more slot machine than any other game. Please for the sake of all slot players, do not hover over machine like a hawk waiting to grab your prey. Go to a different slot machine and play somewhere else. It is not like the particular machine you are looking at will guarantee you a winning night.
